Descendants without Cameron Boyce

Sofia Carson discussed recently the difficulties she had while filming the new  “Descendants” without Cameron Boyce. On May 28, Cameron should have turned 22 years old. Sadly, his co-stars from Disney will celebrate his birthday without him.

“Descendants” will never be the same without Cameron. The actor interpreted Carlos in the movie. In an interview for Entertainment Tonight, Sofia Carson talked about the upcoming Disney film. Within the interview, she claimed:

“You can imagine how incredibly difficult it was for us to do this without Cam. We just hope that when people watch this, they feel happy and they feel connected to the characters and of course, to our Cam.” 

The movie is expected to be spectacular. It presents King Ben’s royal wedding. There will take part all characters from previous movies: Dove Cameron as Mal, Sofia Carson as Evie, Booboo Steward as Jay, Mitchell Hope as Ben, Sarah Jeffrey as Audrey, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, China Anne McClain as Uma, Jedidiah Goodacre as Chad, Anna Cathcart as Dizzy, Dan Payne as Beast and more. Even though it will be hard to envision Descendants without him, his contribution to the movie will be honored. The storyline will contain a tribute dedicated to Boyce, which will also motivate the absence of Carlos.

Life and death of the young actor

The American actor, Cameron Boyce, passed away at just 20 years old in July 2019. His death left a hole in millions of fans who followed him throughout his career. But his memory will definitely hold a special place in the hearts of his fans, friends, and co-stars. 

After his death, Cameron’s Family created a nonprofit organization called “Cameron Boyce Foundation”. Here, his fans can support financially the persons who suffer from epilepsy. Also, the foundation fights against gun violence and help his victims. In the last years of his life, Cameron dedicated himself to charity works too. He raised $30,000 to build wells for clean drinking water in Swaziland. 

The Disney star unexpectedly died due to epilepsy on 6 July 2019. He passed away in his sleep. 

As a child actor, he appeared in 2008 films “Mirrors” and “Eagle Eye”. Afterward, he was the son of Adam Sandler in the comedy “Grown Ups”. During 2011- 2015, Cameron received his first starring role in the Disney Channel comedy series Jessie.

He continued the collaboration with Disney and achieved another role in the Disney franchise “Descendants”.  He appeared in three films as Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil. A month before the third Descendants premiere, Boyce passed away. 

Last year, a year after his death, it was released a documentary about his life. “Showbiz Kids” debuted on HBO and contains interview footage and more information about the life and career of Cameron Boyce. 

Although the tragedy has forever impacted the franchise, Descendants without Cameron Boyce will be premiere on the network this Summer. The most famous franchise captivated young viewers since 2015. Now, it is time to continue its mission and inspire its fans with a new captivating movie.
